WHY SHOULD I BELONG???
- YOU CAN'T? WE CAN!!!:
Make us a partner in your business! You need customers!!You need community support!!
- I CAN'T AFFORD TO BELONG:
Yes, you can! A Chamber of Commerce membership is an investment, not a contribution. The cost is certainly small when compared to the returns made possible by aggressive, united action through your Chamber.
- I DON'T HAVE TIME TO ATTEND MEETINGS:
The very fact that you are extremely busy emphasizes your need for the Chamber of Commerce, which does those things for you which you, individually, cannot do for yourself. The Chamber attends meetings for you.
- I DON'T LIKE THE WAY THEY HAVE RUN THINGS:
The Chamber is an entirely democratic organization. It's Board of Directors are business men and women like you. They will welcome your suggestions. Get in the organization and give them your support. It is quite natural that during the course of the year, the Chamber might take action on certain proposals not in total accord with your views. It is run for the benefit of the entire city, and the officers and directors of the chamber try to look at every problem from that standpoint. The only way the chamber can avoid disagreements here and there is to adopt a "do nothing" policy or attitude. NEITHER YOU NOR I WANT THAT KIND OF CHAMBER TO REPRESENT US. Even the worst critics will admit that the Chamber does what is best for the City. Have a voice in it's program through active participation and membership. When surveys are sent out requesting your input, please state your opinions and return.
- I BELONG TO TOO MANY ORGANIZATIONS NOW:
The Chamber is an investment NOT just another organization ... IT IS YOUR BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVE. It is the medium through which all business and professions are working together for a common goal.
- MY FIRM'S HEADQUARTERS ARE OUT OF TOWN:
Show Low is your market. You wouldn't be here if this city didn't offer you a strong economic climate, a congenial background for your business and good living conditions for your family. These conditions don't just happen. The Chamber makes them happen by organized effort, and it takes continual planning to keep show Low a quality community in which to live and do business.
- WE DO MOST OF OUR BUSINESS OUTSIDE OF THE CITY:
Show Low is your city. You depend on this city for a profit, good utilities, conducive working conditions, reasonable taxes, cooperative government and public attitude. your home, family and friends are here. So you do have an interest in this city.
- I MAY JOIN LATER. I'LL THINK IT OVER:
The Chamber needs you now. You, the chamber, and the business community all lose when you put it off! The Chamber loses the prestige and support that your membership will give; you lose the contacts your participation could make, and the community loses your input and support of issues of special concern.
Through both public and private partnerships,
Show Low Chamber of Commerce
continues to build a strong, solid foundation
for managed community growth and business prosperity,
retention and expansion.
- Referrals:
The chamber receives hundreds of requests each year for our recommendation on goods and services to be purchased in Show Low. We refer Chamber members to these newcomers and area residents by using our:
