Thus far my life has allowed me to have four different jobs; three have been involved with the painting industry.

Following college I taught high school science and coached for ten years. In 1977 I purchased and operated the family paint contracting business in Peoria, IL. In 1986, I was offered a position with the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America, a national trade association representing and servicing painting contractors throughout the US. For the next 17 years I traveled the country assisting contractor organizations in helping contractors grow and improve their business skills.

Finally the travel requirements and challenges became great enough that it was time to look for another opportunity. In December of 2003, my wife and I purchased Mountain Paint Center (formerly known as Verbraken Paint Supply).

I have always been directed toward service positions and feel a great obligation to give back whenever possible. I am grateful to be part of the Show Low Chamber of Commerce and look forward with enthusiasm to the opportunities that exist for our community.
